A Japanese Washing Machine is like Japanese People

A Japanese washing machine is kind to Japanese people than American’s one.

First, it tells how many minutes left until it’s done by a display. It displays that all the time, so we can plan when start to clean the clothes. For the Japanese, this is important because we are sensitive and strict about time. By the way, we get stressed even if a train is delayed a couple of minutes. Our stress of housework would be increased if our machines don’t have the displays.

Second, the way of telling it is done. Normally, Japanese washing machines tells the end by music. Familiar classic musics like Mozart’s are rang when it’s done. We can make it silent or pick a music by a few musics. Either way, we don’t be surprised by like a buzzer sound which American’s has. Though, it could be only Japanese people who is surprised such sound.

Also, we can set time exactly. For example, setting spin for 2, 3 or 4 minutes. Moreover, there would not have error because we set them by bottoms not dials.

Therefore, I feel Japanese washing machines empathize us. On the other hand, it’s not always kind. I found out Japanese people were too nervous and sensitive by washing machine’s specifications.

What do you think if American washing machines display the rest of the time? Do you feel like you are in some deadline?
